About me

I have a broad background in genetics, neuroscience, biochemistry and molecular biology. First, from 2014-2018, I completed a BSc programme in Biochemistry at the University of Surrey (Guildford, United Kingdom) and graduated with a First-Class Honours degree, including a Professional Training Year (PTY) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) (Singapore) (2016-2017). For my undergraduate dissertation thesis, I performed an analysis of “TMEM255A: a gene of unknown function involved in bipolar disorder”, displaying my interest on gene expression and the brain. By performing cloning experiments in human neuroblastoma cells (SH-SY5Y), I delved deeper into the genetic understanding of bipolar disease. Next, as part of my PTY, I was selected to work as a Research Assistant at the Laboratory o
