Low birth weight triples the risk of suffering severe COVID-19 in patients under 70 years of age

A study coordinated by Clínic-IDIBAPS researchers, published in the journal Scientific Reports, shows that people aged between 18 and 70 years who were born weighing less than 2.5 kg have an up to 3-fold greater risk of being admitted to the ICU due to COVID-19.
