Endometriosis is one of the most common benign gynecological diseases, affecting 10% of women of childbearing age and between 1 and 2 million women in Spain, and about 176 million worldwide. The disease is one of the main causes of pelvic pain and reproductive problems in women.
Endofest festival, organized in collaboration with the Premià de Dalt Town Council, will not only offer live music, but also a gastronomic space with food trucks, a children's area and a market with products especially aimed at women. The objective of the festival is to raise awareness about endometriosis and raise funds for research at IDIBAPS.
The festival, promoted by Anna Bassols, a patient with endometriosis, managed to raise more than 17,500 euros last year. Tickets for Endofest are now available on the festival website, and all proceeds will go to the endometriosis research team led by Dr. Francesc Carmona, head of the hospital's Gynecology Service.
